Your Wings Will Betray You

Pilot android 755 C-A-P-R-I-C-O-R-N Helm 4 is set to be decommissioned by the Magnus Barlowe Corporation after the AI goes on a murderous rampage, slaughtering the crew of its ship. Unfortunately for MBC, a scientist accused of treason stages a prison break at the wrong time and steals both a ship and the droid to use as a pilot, hoping to escape the claws of capitalism.

An opportunity to do just that is presented when the mismatched crew is presented with a task: rescue the kidnapped daughter of a black-market salesman and be granted safe passage to a planet without a single MBC colony to bother them.

Even though making deals with thieves is generally regarded as a bad idea, there doesn't really seem to be a choice for these wayward souls. With a crew made up of human and synthetic criminals, getting one measly kid from a space station full of scientists can't be too hard. Right?
