Planet 4546B, a planet mostly covered with water located deep within the far outer reaches of the Ariadne Arm that had been placed under a long quarantine due to a deadly pathogen named the Kharaa Bacterium. But roughly around 1000 years later, the entire Planet was ultimately saved from the Kharaa Bacterium by a special hero.

Our hero in particular was an ordinary young teenage boy named Duncan Baxter who lived a fairly normal and quiet lifestyle due to him being homeschooled by both of his parents and he also never really spoke to anyone due to being very shy and quite antisocial. But the one thing that Duncan found the most comforting was none other than Subnautica; a game series that Duncan has not stopped playing ever since he had first received the game for his 10th birthday. But one night, Duncan's life was going to change as he eventually embarks on the journey in the world of Subnautica.
