Years later in Shibuya, Tokyo, an B Rank level symbiote outbreak prompts Tejima and his roommate Kaiser to flee, but Tejima's curiosity leads him to his parents' lab. There, he discovers alarming details about symbiote possession and encounters a symbiote firsthand. This encounter triggers a transformative awakening within Tejima, binding him to the symbiote known as Cron or Spawn and his powers. Now united, Tejima and Spawn face the unnerving task of confronting powerful symbiotic threats while uncovering the dark truth behind who Cron is, their existence and Tejima's parents' disappearance.
