    1464 BCE, Memphis, Egypt. When Pentamun discovers the brutally stabbed body of his fellow fisherman one morning, things go awry. This brutal incident shakes up the entire nome, which in turn attracts the attention of Pahy-nefer, the decorated Medjay detective. 
    
    As he starts the investigations, eight more such murders take place one after the other, following a macabre pattern. With the help of his physician friend Mutnofret, Pahy-nefer identifies that it is the doing of a single person.
