Joker has been behind the walls of Arkham Asylum for years, testing the limits and patience of the highly qualified doctors and nurses, even managing a partical escape, only to be apprehended by Batman. After catching sight of a newspaper, Joker believes that his one true love, Harley Quinn, perished during a fight with Batman and Robin. Overcome with grief and despair, he questions whether his own life is worth living, and decides that ending it would be the best option, at least he'd get to see his little puddin' again.

That is until a new patient arrives at the asylum...
