"No, stay." he makes his way to the door. "Stay with me, then? If only just for tonight." I muttered, but loud enough for him to hear. I'm only fifteen, but I can't convince myself that he can go. Plus, I'm not entirely sure this room won't collapse in on me. He pivots to look at me, and his beautiful brown eyes make a show as he thinks it over. "You're a princess. I should give you your privacy." He muttered, a hand running through his hair. "It's also rude to refuse a princess." I raise my eyebrows and fold my arms, and with the sigh John lets out, I know I've won. "You said stay with you. Not sleep with you." He smirks, the candlelight finding the angle he's at, and I cannot ignore the look of hunger in his eyes as the little flames dance. I can play this game. "Yes I did." I smirked. "I could mean the other." I said with a shrug. His eyes only widened. "Shh. Go to bed." he stifles a laugh. I smile, Thank the saints that didn't go terribly. He takes his pillow and crawls under the covers. He faces the side away from me, that's closest to the door, and I face the window. " Night." He muttered, his face buried in the pillow, I smiled. "Goodnight John." I repeat. After a while I felt the covers moving with a steady pace, the movement matching John's breathing with the covers draped over his wide chest, somehow that brought comfort to me.
