Five years ago, the government released eight robotic prototypes into society: androids, who were so advanced they could easily pass as humans, blending seamlessly into the world and masquerading as one of us. However, the project was soon deemed unethical, and the robots were recalled - all but one. Ava has always felt detached from society, and when she hears about the project, she begins to doubt her own existence. She wants to know why she can't feel, and what it will take for her to know that she is real. As she begins to push her own limits and of those around her, what will it take to bring her back from edge? And will it be enough to save her from the world, reality, and most importantly, herself?
