She loves drama and acting and is thrilled to find out that her drama class has won almost two years of celebrity mentoring through a competition that they have entered. 

It is through this that Skylar has a chance to meet her idol and even work with him....

There is the slight problem that she is a rainbow-haired, black-converse wearing, pale-skinned, stuttering freak who is prone to getting into fights and has parents that are MIA...

Other than that, she's perfect!

The thing that plagues her is her ability to go through anybody's and everybody's dreams which has a nasty side effect--she lost her ability to speak in the real world. This is not something she can control, nor something that's necessarily dangerous. It just happens. One second she's in darkness, the next second she happens to be in someone's dream. But, when she stumbles into a dream of a guy she never knew existed in her grade of 500 students, albeit his popular status, both her worlds get flipped upside down.
