Through the Glass

The year is 2080. Silverbourne is divided into two parts. The High City and The Low City. To live in the Low City you need a Patron. There are rules to be a Patron and those are very strict.
There are four companies that run the Cities. SecTech, EverFresh, Xotek, and Talkerr. Each company specializes in a different study. SecTech is security. EverFresh is goods and commerce. Xotek is the mechanical and weaponry. Talkerr is communications. These companies have CEO's that rule over the company and the division their employees live in.

As an orphan, like Lyra, it's hard to get a Patron to vouch for you. If you don't have one you're on your own. Nobody will take you in and train you, teach you, or keep you. but Lyra is in good shape. As an electrician Mr. Ford, Lyra's would be Patron, takes her in and teaches her his ways.

But, as she goes to a High City party, she sees a dark headed guy by the name of Kold. Kold is notorious for being extremely handsome and the best student in the SecTech company.

Lyra finds herself in a High City party. When things go downhill she clings to Kold.
Will she be the girl who loves? Or will she be the girl who lives?
