The inhabitants of planet Earth must take to the stars in order to survive impending extinction. (My contest entry for #ProjectConstellations. Each of the four parts is an individual short story set within the same universe.)

Sometimes, rediscovering the things we've lost can change our lives.

Pete is the captain of a generation ship that has traveled the lightyears from ruined earth to its destination system. He enjoys the privileges of his rank, unwilling to risk them by attempting a landing on the planet they have been orbiting for years. Ralph, his younger brother, has spent his life in Pete's shadow, tinkering with the half-forgotten technology of their starship. And he is eying the planet below them with longing. He decides that it is time to start the descent. The starship's name is Last Hope. Time changed now, the place once we called our planet earth is effected with radioactive. Scientists are trying to reduce the effect of that radiation but they still maintaining only after almost five hundreds years of waiting to return home was just a dreamto someone. After all these years and staying in different planet all settled and coped into that environment. On latest survey of scientists on moon who are monitoring earth reported something that not only effect earth but also surrounding planets and that report us kept secret only high authorities and scientists know chosen and trained people send to search to cool earth temperature.  Operation 4004: Save Earth is her mission now. #SciFriday competion entry

Their world: Dead Their goal: Survival Their destination: ...unknown After years surviving on a dying Earth, the last remnants of humanity are finally forced to escape into the endless unknown of outer space in order to find a place to live that's better than the tree-less, oxygen-less wasteland they are leaving behind. Yet their arrival on their destination planet, the one that was supposed to allow the continued survival of the human race, is not the happy welcome they were expecting. Not even close. Their new home they once believed to be just a scorched, and ruined planet, yet a habitable one, turns out to be something much more. More dangerous, more uncertain... More lethal. May the strongest die.

This is my entry to the one page wonder competition. Directly linked to my current novel A Flash Of White so I could use the universe I already built to give the story more depth and marital but it works as a stand alone. It is the year 2198 and the economic superpower Imperia is faced with a major rebellion that threatens the factions capital planet Fultron. Lieutenant Miller and the rest of Phalanx squad have been tasked with ensuring the evacuation of the planets council members. But when the extraction plan backfires and Phalanx find themselves stranded on the war torn world, Miller must take control of the situation and get his squad mates to safety.

The military Ulysses Steven was chosen as an explorer in the year 2081. Ulysses, must go to examine a meteorite that, just a year earlier, had crashed into the coast of Fort George, in Quebec. There had been no explosion or, direct destruction of the Earth in the impact. But as soon as Steven gets there, he will feel like Ulysses who, in his quest to overcome the Pillars of Hercules, paid the high price of curiosity with his life...
