i know i have not been active on this account in quite a while due to personal reasons, but i find it incredibly important to speak up about issues such as those we are experiencing right now.
black. lives. matter. until the day i die i will reiterate that to everyone who needs to hear it. if you're being silent, you're being complacent. especially if you are white, you should be using your voice and your privilege to speak out and spread information and resources to anyone and everyone you can. now more than ever, the black community needs our support. they always will. they will continue to need it after these protests begin to die down. they will continue to need it after those with the privilege to be able to forget do exactly that. this is an ongoing battle and is not a trend for you to jump on just for an ego boost or for show. your activism MUST be more than performative. sign petitions. share information. donate and protest if you are able. there are multiple videos online that you can stream, and the ad revenue from it will be split amongst multiple groups in support of blm. these are the things our children will be learning about in school. don't be the parent that has to tell their child they did nothing because they were scared of having different opinions or standing out. be proactive. your contributions could be far more influential than you know.
