@AETHIECA utk story yg tak guna POV as in the 3rd POV? bukan yang pov 'Aku?'
i'm totally not the best person to answer this bcs i tend to YAP and RAMBLE a lot, buuuut there here's a tricks that I read online.
Whenever u want tk write dialogues or monologues, think about how much it will contribute to:
i) the overall plotline.
is it reveals much about what is happening? or u just want the dialogue exist for the sake of trying to explain things that your readers aren't interested to know?
ii) the scene.
is it suitable for the scene. is there any scene u want to particularly slow it down, or fasten the pace? usually action sequences rarely use longer dialogues.
iii) the characters:
we all have many types of characters. all of them have traits and tone of speech. if the characters is someone who thinks a lot, there's no harm in writing a paragraph of their thoughts as long as it still fits the i) and ii) criteria. on the other hand, characters who don't dwell much on trivial matters will have a rather brief way of thinking. they'd just comment about it for a minute then carry on with what they're doing.
bapak panjang gila HAHAHAH but i hope this helps. for me personally, i still ramble a lot when writing dialogues. but i'd mix it with narrative and action so that it won't be too hard to read.
