Hello, I wanted to ask something…
How did you learn how to write exactly? Did you study literature or smth, or did you just practice until you got the hang of it? Are there any good books/topics I can read to get a better hang of it myself?

@d34thw15H try writing what you want BUT then read it and think about like if you were reading someone else's book what is lacking?

I see… I’m in quite a similiar situation rn. I love the way Makoto Shinkai (the author+director of kimi no nawa, tenki no ko, 5cms per second etc.) but sometimes I think I might just be relying too much on his style. I wouldn’t say my ideas are unoriginal, it’s more that I feel my stories are just kinda half-baked and they’re never ready…

@d34thw15H I just like to read a lot of books, and honestly, I just got the hang of it. Now my tastes have changed a lot, but when I was a kid, my fav books were the Geronimo Stilton ones and the mouse related stuff puns. I also read a lot of books on Wattpad about my ships, like skk, so yeah. There is one writer whose style I really like, xxalwayssophia, so yeah. I honestly just try to replicate their style while having my own story idea and dialogues that I would like to read in someone else's story. I also like to watch those YT videos that get into teaching about random things of writing, like the Law of three, and I try it myself, and if it works, I keep it that way.
