For along time now I have been pondering something my English teacher said ‘good always prevail.” And all though it may be true, I started thinking what if good didn’t win but bad did instead, well that wouldn’t be a good story now would it.
That’s the point if bad were to win, there would be no hope, lesson or even a point to writing the story in the first place. See when we read stories, our brain automatically takes it as if we are in that scene, we are all of a sudden put in the place of the protagonist, so if the protagonist were to lose, that won’t make us feel good because after all no one likes losing.
People say stories are morals, or even just a point start something new, hell whole religions are based off of stories, but when we think about it stories are there to give us hope, to up lift us in our darkest hours.

So next time you decide to write a story think about what it will be doing for others and the impact it will have on them.
