April has described her life as "a winding road that often loops back and has unexpected dead ends." She has spent 20 years of her life performing as a classically-trained operatic soprano, and has found her way to her current career as a yoga teacher through many of those "loops" along her path. Writing has always been a passion, giving freedom to open up the vault of her vocabulary and permission to use six-dollar-words she keeps tucked away for just such an occasion. April isn't all that fond of taking life too seriously. Opera was plenty of drama, and yoga is, as she often describes it, "cool party tricks." And so, her short works will bring humor to tense situations and help her characters overcome obstacles April herself will tackle someday. Fiction, it turns out, is a pretty good dry run for life application.
