I was born in the quiet hills of West Virginia, where the world felt both soft and unforgiving.
I began writing when life became too heavy to hold in silence... when pain demanded a voice and survival became my art. Poetry became my breath, my confession, my prayer whispered through trembling hands.
I've walked through the kind of pain that leaves you breathless, through trauma, motherhood, marriage, and the long journey of remembering who I was beneath it all. I've been called compassionate, overly caring, and unshakable-and maybe that's true. Because even when I was falling apart, I kept loving, kept giving, kept writing.
They say some people are born to heal, and I believe that. I'm set to graduate from nursing school in December 2025, but I've been practicing healing my whole life... through words, through care, through stubborn hope. Even when the world says give up, hope whispers, try one more time.
These pages are the proof that broken things can still bloom. That light can grow in the dark. That you can survive what tried to silence you, and rise, fearless and unshaken, with love still in your hands.
This book is my rise.
