          So what is next? My next story, of course, will be the spiritual successor to "No Step On Slime".  I won't reveal too much about it now, but from the way I've worked out the plot, it'll be a spicy one.

I know that I said I have no plans to return to fanfiction, but I do have one story that has been sitting, unpublished, for over two years now. I will not complete it, but it's an Arknights reverse isekai fanfic. I decided that I might as well pull the trigger and release it for people to enjoy.

          It has been a little over a full year since I've begun writing. Initially, my projected release date would have been by New Year's Day, and I almost got there.
          
          The draft is currently not fully finalized, but it is close, at a length of 130,000 words. I am currently working on a little additional extra bit that will accompany the story; I began work on the extra part in the beginning of December, but vastly underestimated how long it was going to take me to make.
          
          You can expect a release date around mid-January.

As it has been half a year since my last post, I shall give an update as to where I am at this moment.
          
          I have reached 50,000 words out of an estimated 100,000 to 120,000 on the first draft of the next original story that I plan to post. Most of the time spent the last several months was laying down the groundwork of the story, along with the stories that I wish to write after that one. Currently, all I mostly need to do is write and revise.

No Step On Slime has been officially 'concluded' as of earlier today after I posted the epilogue and the very last 24,000-word long author's note. However, that does not necessarily mean that will be the end of my story writing.
