Left Europe for Asia with $300 in my clothing. Bus, train and hitchhike journeys later, across Iran and Afghanistan, through the Kyber Pass, I reached the Pacific. I stayed. I learned all I once believed was not the whole truth. I learned not to be entirely paralysed by the fact that learning teaches you how little you know. I learned how human tears look the same from eyes of all shapes and colours, and even when children die often, you can still manage to cry each time. Tears are so universal, but laughter can mean so many different things at once.
