Good morning folks! Next chapter is about halfway done, but I wanted to ask a quick favor from you. Coming back after not writing for a while is, as you might imagine, a bit disheartening at times, especially when my story isn’t getting quite the same traction I used to get back in the day. I’m not gonna stop, I do this because I enjoy it, not for any recognition or anything, but I’d really appreciate it if you shared it with folks you think might be interested. Don’t need to go out there shilling for me or anything, just send a link in promotion channels and that sort of thing. Even just liking the chapters helps a lot! Thanks again for all the support!

Good evening everyone! While theres no new chapter today (it’s in the works, though), I wanted to share a bit about the second word in the description, Hausos. Hausos (you might sometimes see Hewsos) is reconstructed Proto Indo-European goddess of the dawn. To provide some brief background, Proto Indo-European religion was practiced by the Proto Indo-European people, a loose group that existed across Eurasia from about 4500 to about 2500 B.C., mostly during the late Neolithic. As it long predates written records and history (and writing as a whole), we know nothing about it directly, and thus scholars must reconstruct it by studying the cultures that descended from it. The majority of reconstruction is done linguistically, by comparing the various languages that we can tell descended from the language likely spoken by Proto Indo-Europeans, such as Latin, German, Gaelic, and even various Indian languages. We can also, by studying the early religions in those same regions, reconstruct the religion the Proto Indo-European people practiced! While this is all VERY theoretical and experimental, and by no means definitive, it is absolutely fascinating and one of my favorite areas to study. Hausos will not, of course, play a role in my story, but I felt throwing the name in served as a fun hint towards Y/N’s mother!
