After studying media psychology and Queen Margaret University and a few abortive attempts at launching startups, I embarked on a career that led me to UX design. I've a particular interest in the history of language and the origins and evolution of conceptual thought.
My professional approach is guided by a long term vision of the evolution of the internet. As organiser of the futurist meetup group Long Now Dublin, I have hosted numerous events on topics such as the future of neuromarketing, biotechnology, internet privacy and the long term effects of the internet on cognition. Likewise through connections at DCU's Design and Innovation Lab, I have glimpsed the fascinating but daunting directions in which the internet is evolving. With this in mind, what drives me is the passion to build the next generation of tools to help people navigate the ocean of information that surrounds us and encroaches further on our immediate reality.
Also dabble in glitch art, concept art, science fiction and photography.
