So I am a prolific reader. It is my vice! It is not unheard of for me to read 10+ stories a week. If it is a really good story I have been known to called out of work, to stay home and read, after being up all night.
I will read pretty much any genre except for horror (paranormal activity type), books with graphic violence (especially against children), or if the character is under 21 (unless it's a historical, fantasy, vampire, etc).
I know quickly if it's for me or not. I try to give most stories 3-5 chapters. I usually will only put completed stories in my queue; unless it's a series and I have finished and like/loved a previous book.
I rarely comment or vote. I am trying to be better about this. My comments are usually comments directed to a character and not the author. So if I do either, that means your book was great or there was something that really didn't work for me.
I created reading list:
1. Read & Loved it: These are the stories that have moved me, made me cry, I loved etc.
2. Honorable mentions: Stories in here I liked & finished.
If you make the Watty awards list I will most likely read your story. I have read most of them going back to 2012.
Thank you for sharing your stories. It is an honor and privilege to read them!
