We need #DiverseLit!

Show your support for existing Wattpad stories, or write your own, in which a character is part of a minority group not ideally featured in a novel by joining this movement.

This is a campaign is led and created by Layla N. (@earthian) [est. October 17th, 2015] to promote and support books and characters of minority groups including, but not limited to, disabilities, body types, illnesses, disorders, sexual identities, religions, and nationalities that are not usually featured in current literature. Book characters who are in a minority group do not have to be central characters or even main ones - they merely need to exist in the story.

To join the campaign simply add the hashtag #DiverseLit to your bio on your Wattpad profile. If you would like to do even more you can write a story of any genre that includes a character who belongs to any minority group. Add the hashtag to the tags on your story and add the sticker to your story cover. If you already have written a book including a minority charachter(s), simply add the sticker (found above) and the tag!

On this profile stories that have joined the movement will be added to our Reading List, and read by me.

If you have any questions regarding the campaign contact me on this account, or on @earthian, and I will respond to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your support~!

Best of luck writers,
Layla N.
