Because Narayana is Bhaktavatsal, extremely protective of his devotees. This is the reason he is deeply bonded with Arjun, This is the reason he is extremely bonded with Uddhav, This is the reason he is bonded with Gopis. Love and Devotion.
          
          Coming to part if he placed his wives, various forms of Maa Lakshmi themselves, below them?
          
          For that, we must know that she is inseparable from Narayana himself, They are one, While Adisesha’s Avatar Lord Balram is a form of Lord Krishna himself. Narayana supports the universe in the form of Adisesha and again, Krishna has time and again called that Balram is his second soul, they are one soul in two bodies. They three, Lakshmi, Vishnu and Adisesha form the most immediate family of the universe, Mother, Father and son hence everything they do is One, so the question of placing anyone above them is no possibility, rather it shows that Arjuna and Uddhav were deeply loved by these three, together to the point that owing to their devotion unto Krishna, they cared deeply, they became the protector of Uddhav and Arjuna.
          
          Krishna can place his wives and brother less than Arjuna if he considers them different than himself, which he didn't.
          
          Coming to part where Krishna says he can't see the earth bereft of Arjuna, that is solely because Arjuna had to help him in Dharmasthapana, and Krishna protects those who follow Dharma. Hence, He said that.
          
          Krishna could not see earth deprived of Balram, as they were the same soul and hence as soon as Balram left, Lord Krishna left. Like they did in Tretayuga, As Lakshmana - Rama.
          
          

It is a wide misconception that Lord Krishna placed his wives and Parents below Arjuna. Yes, Lord Krishna was a close friend of Arjuna but the essence of Lord Krishna and Arjuna's relationship is that he is Krishna's devotee, the one who obeys his God, his Madhav.
          
          Arjuna is not at all ashamed to admit his faults, confusions, problems to Krishna and seeks his guidance, and Yes, he follows it. He finds Krishna, Krishna is the force behind Arjuna's actions, Krishna alone. This is how Arjuna view Lord Krishna as.
          
          Now when we see Lord Krishna, He is Bhaktvatsal, for whom his devotee's happiness and comfort is his priority, especially that devotee who was to assist him in his mission to annihilate evil and is surrounded with dangers, from the birth.
          
          Does it mean Krishna placed his wives below him?
          
          No, whatever Krishna said has to be taken in the essence of Relation of Bhakta and Bhagavan. As per Bhagavatam, Lord Krishna tells to Uddhav that :
          
          Oh, Uddhav! There is no one dear unto me like you, Brahmins, Lakshmi, Rudra and neither myself and my soul, None is dear unto me like you.
          
          Those devotees, who see everything with an equal eye, who is calm and composed, free of Jealousy, humble and do not humiliate anyone. I go behind such pious devotees to cleanse this universe with the dust of their feet. - 11th Canton, Srimad Bhagavad Puran.
          
          Here we see again, Lord Krishna says that none is dear unto him like Uddhav, including his own self.

          Bursting two myths as per REAL SCRIPTURES 
          
          1. Ravana is not at all connected with Ayurveda.  As per Sushruta, father of surgery, Lord Dhanvantri (Lord Vishnu), God of medicine himself incarnated and taught him and many physicians ways to cure illness. None the less, all knowledge of Ayurveda comes from Lord Dhanvantri and I am happy worshipping my Lord Rama who gave world the science of Ayurveda. Haters, Stay away. 
          
          2. Ravana composed Shiv Tandava strotra - This can not be told with surity as its not found in scripture. Three possibilities are :
          
          Maybe Ravana composed. 
          
          Maybe later his fans composed and attributed to him. 
          
          Maybe another person with Ravana name did. 
          
          Hence, The Lord Shiva I know curses Ravana :) as per Ramayana and Shiv Puran(even though he is mentioned as his devotee, Lord Shiva never sided with him)
