Ezra Makori Achimba (Azumi)
Born:2005, Kenya
Profession: Law Student, Author
Ever heard of a kid who could turn a simple movie into an epic masterpiece just by telling the story? That was Azumi. His talent for narrating films had his schoolmates hanging onto his every word, so much so that the nickname stuck. But that was just the beginning.
By 14, he started writing his own stories, crafting worlds and characters that twisted reality into something deeper. Yet, for years, he never published a single word. He didn't write for recognition; he wrote because he had something to say.
High school saw him taking the stage in public speaking, English club, tutoring juniors and his participation in debates didn't go unnoticed. But even that wasn't enough. His mind craved something more. He experimented with a cinema therapy blog, diving into how movies manipulate emotions. He wrote 15 books, each unraveling different layers of human behavior, perception and the psychology of reality.
His standout work? Martyrs of Comfort-a novel that challenges readers to question their religious beliefs and their understanding of true spiritual concepts, exposing the deeper truths that many overlook. Alongside it, The Silent Warden, a book that forces readers to confront the unseen chains that hold them back. And then there are his thought-provoking articles like Emotions in Motion and Unpacking the Mind, each peeling back the curtain on how people truly think, feel, and act.
Through every chapter, every word, he has had a handful of unwavering supporters-people who reminded him why he writes: Hassan Kennedy, Derrick Kiptanui, Usher Raymond, Belamy Maloba, Bruce Karanja, Sonia Chebet, Penny Njeri-this one's for you.
And for the readers? Brace yourself. Azumi doesn't write bedtime stories. He writes the truth.
