Maybe if you let me loose I would travel the skies to count the stars and light up the night like a fairy in the dusk. Maybe I would travel the world like a deaf man hearing music for the first time, amazed at the sights I saw and awoken from the innocence that once consumed me. Maybe I would be the one everyone reads about in hundreds of years when we are all long gone and the days are no longer ours but those of a new generation, echoing our preceding presence only by hinting at the heroes we once were, and maybe my light would still shine. I could do amazing things if you let me from this tiny cage enclosing my essence and everything that I am, restricting me from flying when all I've ever wanted to do was just spread my wings and soar. Maybe someday you would regret calling me a beast when we all knew I was a stallion spending its whole life waiting to run.
