Gabrielle Cavett was born on August twelfth and has lived in a small town for her entire life. Ms. Cavett has done a great deal of writing both inside and outside of school. She has written many different essays throughout her years of school and has decided she doesn't enjoy writing essays nearly as much as fiction. She's also written many short stories, some of which have been shared and some of which she's had other people read. Most of them are done for her own sake of practicing writing and trying out different styles.
Her most notable work is Hidden Minds, which is the book she published in 2015. While she no longer sees it as her best work, she's very proud of it as a starting point. Overall, it's been received well by her friends, family, and community. She's received a lot of support from everyone around her since then to continue writing and has had the opportunity to speak to various groups of people about publishing as a minor and the importance of reading and writing for youth.
Gabrielle's writing style is serious, although isn't usually described as depressing. Over time, it has become more occupied with fanciful topics. Her writing usually has very little humor and when it does it's shown in sarcasm or ironic phrasing. Her aim is to write enough that the reader can clearly see what she wants them to but she is brief enough that her reader doesn't get lost in the details. She has a tendency to have long, sweeping phrases, though she sometimes uses shorter sentences to bridge longer thoughts and occasionally speaks in metaphors, though it isn't necessarily a staple of her work. Ms. Cavett also always puts the characters before the plot, allowing them to grow and expand because she wants them to feel like real individuals the reader can easily connect to.
