I am a 39 year old mother of 2 teenage children.
I LOVE poetry and have wrote it secretly for years. 
Alately I have decided to share it and hopefully by joining this site I can develop my writing and maybe even write a short novel.

I am influenced by Stephen King, Dean  Koontz , Anne Rice... I love a good  horror story!!
I love the poetry of Sylvia Plath, Ted Hughes and Anne Sexton- to name a few fairly contemporary ones.

A little snippet of my poetry about what poetry means to me...

" The greatest conceit of those possessed of a poetic soul
Is the belief that those tiny morsels of thought
Are worthy of serving to those for whom
  sustenance is sought
From within poetry's ever abundant bowl".
