I am a writer and poet having self-published four books.  Some days I get into my writing groove and feel like nothing can stop me, it feels so great.  Some days I get incredibly self-conscious and don't want to ever write anything again so I try and talk to people who have read my stuff and get some encouragement.  When I get writer's block and I have time to sit and write, I read over stuff I have done already and try and edit and improve it, then I often find I can go on with more writing.  I have two collections of  poetry out now, and I like to think of myself as active in the local poetry scene.  In my 20 year writing career I have written magazine and newspaper articles, many poems, a good number of short stories and three novellas ( one of those is actually a work in progress.)
