You alive? What happened to your stories?

Not me just stealthily editing a certain chapter of A Tear of Ink because I really really really wanna write more with the cast I have in that story :)

Hi! I hope you've all been faring well, wherever you are. It's been a bit since I've said or released anything, and I definitely do have a thing or two to say regarding the future.
          
          I was in middle school when I started this silly little account on Wattpad, to keep myself busy and/or entertained during quarantine. From the beginning, I was writing stories about everyone's favorite Inkling/Octoling duo, Agent 3 and Agent 8! It's been almost two years since then and almost two years since I last played Splatoon, and the amount of things that have changed. My writing style, for example. I'm sure that If I were to read one of the chapters from Under the Surface, I would marvel at how different how I write now is compared to how I did back then.
          
          I can hardly believe it, but another thing that changed was my deep love for Splatoon. Once, I knew my characters inside out. I knew the rhythmic beats of their hearts, every happy moment of elation I would depict them experiencing. Now, though... 
          
          Octo Expansion came out in 2018, and here we are in 2022. I'm sorry to say that I feel like if I were to continue, my works would be...out of date (especially with Splatoon 3 down the road), essentially. 
          
          Don't get me wrong; I still love writing. It's one of my all-time favorite things to do with some nice tunes on. And hey, maybe I will update A Tear of Ink sometime in the future! I still make some progress on that difficult Chapter 13 from time to time, and you all still seem to enjoy it after all :D 
          
          I don't have a date for if or when I'll be back, but I truly do wish the best for all of you. It's been an honor sharing this hobby of mine with you, and what I've already written will stay here until I get copyrighted or one of my friends find it or something.   Of course, feel free to still correct grammar or critique my writing or whatever. It would actually be a pretty big help!

School is now officially over for me for the 2020-2021 school year! Unfortunately, it's been quite a bit since my last "real" chapter update, and as of now I barely have the next chapter started since I've been devoting my time to streaming (under a new name, by the way), these final stretches of school, and talking on Discord, as well as extracurriculars.
          
          Hopefully I can get some more writing done before the next school year starts, because when it does, I'm going to have just about no time at all to write. This entire year has been distance learning, which means I have access to a computer at all times, which meant I could work on my story at any time, really. That certainly won't be the case next year. In short: I sure hope that my update pace increases, but no promises! 
          
          It probably doesn't help that I write myself into a corner that's really hard to pick off of every single chapter. Don't get me wrong, I still love writing this lame stuff, and ideas fill my mind for nearly a quarter of the day. You get a bit tired when you've come up with three ideas to start a chapter, and none of them end up working for you, is all. Fret not, for the fourth is ready to be put in production.
          
          Thanks for being patient, and if you're somehow still following along on my stories, be on the lookout for one in like 2 weeks or so. I'm not finished just yet (especially since the story's barely gotten started)!

Here I was, being all proud of myself for making average content at my age. But then, only hours later, I come across a fanfiction with many times more: reads, followers, etc. than anything I could ever hope to get to! And guess what: that story was written by an ELEVEN year old, and was being read BY eleven year olds. And go figure, one of those people have over two hundred followers with books with over 30,000 reads. And, I remembered that there's a bunch of contests out there for writing for the young, and every single one of those people trying out is probably way more talented than me! So, here's what I'm drawing from this: Don't be proud of anything, ever. 
          
          (Yes I know there's something to be said about comparing yourself to others but there's not really anything else to do)

Okay, okay, okay. I know it's been a super long time since I updated, but I SWEAR that if I don't get a chapter for A Tear Of Ink out by this Monday,  I'm going to have to update every single one of my stories, even the inactive ones. Hopefully this'll solve my motivation issues. So, uh, look forward to a chapter on Monday, and if not, a chapter on all of my current books. Also, feel free to remind me if it passes 11:59 PM PST on Monday without a chapter. Bye!

Hey! How's your day been?
          
          As some of you might know, my update schedule is every Monday. But, as more of you might know, lately I've been taking one or two week breaks. What am I doing during these hiatuses? ...Mostly catching up when life gets complicated, playing Breath of the Wild/Tomodachi Life, and watching femalegirlperson and SmallAnt's streams on Twitch. 
          
          Just wanted to let you know!

Hello! This is just an announcement for those of you who've been following along on my A Drop In The Ocean story. If not, feel free to completely ignore this. I don't mind.
          
          Okay, so! I've changed the title, as well as the cover, as of today, 12/19/20. Maybe have a look if you have the time! It's now titled: A Tear Of Ink: Agent 3 x Agent 8. I've also noted this in the story description (which I'd change if I had any ideas for it, but I don't. I'm quite aware that, at least in my eyes, it needs some renovation).
          
          So, if you're among those who've been reading the book, and want to keep doing so even after this title and cover change, keep a eye out! Again, it's titled A Tear of Ink: Agent 3 x Agent 8. This very likely will not be affecting the actual story in any way.

I should consider following more people, since the sole person I've followed has stopped using Wattpad.
