the last thing sofia remembered was how cold the rain felt against her hot tears, and how /tired/ she was. they felt it in their bones, the ache that they’ve been carrying for days on end. oh, how it weighed their shoulders down and beat dull against their skull. it was a feeling they’ve known for so long it was a part of them. constant and unyielding.
but when sofia opened their eyes, they found themself, for the first time in a while, in a state of ease, of peace. and as the fogginess of sleep slowly left her eyes, she sat up assessing the odd familiarity that came with the land of sleep and dreams.
