i remember when we were kids and would throw stuff either in the trash or whether we were playing basketball everyone would always have the habit of saying “kobe!” and today i was in practice and we were doing recreational games, and one of them was a basketball type of war game, and i had the final move and so i went up to throw it in, and was about to shout “kobe” but then i remembered and let the ball fall on the ground. kobe wasn’t just a basketball star, he was our childhood. he was the little inspirational piece of glue that somehow connected every one of us. you ask an adult who kobe is, some don’t even know. but if you ask one of the younger people, they’d remember so much stuff. may kobe, gianna, and all those in the helicopter rest in peace.
