I'm a freelance writer who loves history, but I also write in other genres. I've won multiple awards for my newspaper writing and I'm also the author of seven novels, a non-fiction book about Civil War nurses and two non-fiction collections of his history articles. Among my novels are the popular historical novels--Canawlers, October Mourning, Between Rail and River and The Rain Man.

To see more about my books or to order copies on-line, go to the JamesRada.com web site. You can also follow his writing and thoughts on two blogs. Time Will Tell highlights history news and some of James' history articles. Whispers in the Wind features posts on the writing life.
