Basically why Wendy was at Cait shelter because Erza told the master that she’d eventually come back for her which she did but she was so ashamed and heart broken of the terrible mother she was for abandoning her baby daughter all alone and then Wendy would thank her for abandoning her because if not she would not be able to reunite with her mother and father and meeting the people’s she’s met without Erza abandoning her none of it would have happened 

Also I want Erza to have been Wendy’s birth mother and Jellal her birth father but Erza had to abandon Wendy this because she thought it was to dangerous to let her grow up in the guild so she abandoned her temporarily but reunited with her daughter Wendy and etc...
