I'm a novice writer working on stories which take place within a fantasy realm. The world and characters develop through what is revealed in the story. I guess i'm creating it from the inside out but i'm not sure what limitations to set. For example, would it be out of context to add dragons or do i keep it toned down a bit.

I take inspiration from James Clavell, George R.R Martin and Justin Cronin. Three different genres and writing styles but equally amazing. I'm trying to find my own writing voice, i think i prefer third person but i always have trouble with how much i reveal to the reader. Are we God and see everything taking place, do we see things as as the character of focus can see them, how many characters of focus are there.

Sometimes i stream myself writing on twitch, on there i may reveal my though process as i'm writing, what i plan to do, and what ideas i'm trying to convey etc. Unfortunately i'm not like Stephen King where i can type thousands of words each day with great ideas pouring out my mind. I'm a slow writer and probably spend more time thinking than writing. I try to keep research to a necessity, it's fantasy and i want as much coming out of my own head as possible. Though naturally i don't know everything.
