@CastrarWolf well it gets pretty dark in the first episode but, so these kids are living in an ordinary orphanage. Emma (one with orange hair) and Norman (one with white hair) go and give Conny her stuffed animal. When they do they find out that they're being raised to be harvested to the demons. They try to escape (they're able to) but there's how do I put it "a bunch of left turns". As a warning episode 12 season 1 is the saddest episode to me.
