Hi, I'm Lauren. I am a graduate student pursing a Masters in Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior. I have a B.S. in Biological Sciences. I am particularly interested in genetics and evolution. My research is focused on understanding how populations of killifish adapt to salt/fresh water. My mermaid story came LONG before I had interest in studying fish, so I suppose it was just meant to be.

I like to read, write, paint, and listen to podcasts. I LOVE The Lord of the Rings, and can speak a little bit of Elvish (in addition to some Spanish and Italian). My reading preferences are all over the place, but fantasy, romance, and popular science nonfiction are my favorite genres.
