I never would've survived childhood if it weren't for books.
Growing up, I was never the pretty nor the smart one in the class--and home never really felt like one. But stories and books paved a way for me to dream and hope for something better to come. They took me to different places, worlds, and era that made me feel like I've lived a thousand different wonderful lives at a very young age.
Walking into a bookstore have always given me that excitement ( still does) and anticipation of the next world and adventure I'd dive into. The stories inspired and encouraged me to be kind to others, to be passionate in pursuing my dreams, to love without boundaries, to be courageous amidst adversaries, and to extend the encouragement and inspiration to others. Hence, I write.
This world is fallen and broken.
But be hopeful. Choose to be happy. Pursue what's good for your soul. Discover your passion. Be brave. And be free to love who you want to love.
