Hello, my Dear Ones :)
I am sharing with you a novelette that is the prequel of a full novel I'll be writing this year. When I started writing #FromtheOtherSide, I never thought on continuing the story. It was part of a compilation of more than 100 authors who donated their time and talent to support the children of immigrants who were separated from their parents when they arrived to the U.S. I was appalled at the news of what was going on with these children, considering it a violation to their human rights. I've always thought of this nation as something more, but we're certainly living very challenging times.
The project raised more than $12,000 and it was an honor to be part of it. I personally have immigrant friends, so this subject is close to my heart. Empowering women, no matter their legal status is something I'm committed to. But I never expected to fall as deeply in love as I fell with my beloved heroine, María Fernanda Montero. I love Tía Lupe, too!
Hope you enjoy this prequel as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Thanks for reading!
