Cheers for your vote on Stuck In The Mud! OK we'll use English since that is easier for everyone including the young Algerians.
Maybe the Princesssong "Stuck In The Mud" could have fit Algeria 1957-1962 . . . although it might have become "Stuck In The Sand" . . .
Princesisto, the author, is a New Zealander.
The New Little Princess, the character, is a British child, raised in Guatemala, famous from 2025.

There are articles about rai in the 1990s civil war but nothing about rai artists like Blaoui Houari or Ahmed Saber, who supported independence, writing songs about it. Maybe they never did . . . If so, how sad!

I found one song that independence fighters sang https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqIPp63-PHk but it is hardly rai. It sounds like they were trying to create an Arabic "La Marsellaise".
