Hello everyone! I'm back with a new announcement.
          
          First of all, happy new year to all of you. May 2026 be easier on all of us :)
          
          So, I am happy to announce that Pretentious will be back very soon. Probably in a few days or even less. Yes, sooner than I expected. But this is simply because the end of 2025 was very good for me, and things are looking forward again. I have more time, and I've been feeling a lot better, too.
          
          The CH Ju-On AU story will still be up, and that will not change. And I appreciate the support of that story :)
          
          And to remind all of you, the changes coming to Pretentious are quite big, so a re-read will be necessary. I turned the old plot into something entirely new and more grounded to reality. It's not crazy realistic, but just enough that it made me like writing the story again.
          
          It's also a lot more mature than before, so keep that in mind. And don't worry, Missy the cat won't be leaving us. She's still in the story.
          
          Also, for those who follow me here on Wattpad only, I have a Countryhumans art Instagram account. Drawn scenes of Pretentious and the Ju-On AU will be posted there occasionally along with other Countryhumans art. The account is manuchkiin.

Hello everybody, long time no see! :)
          
          I've been missing for another while now, and I'm sorry. Sincerely, I am. But when things were starting to look good, it somehow got 10 times worse. Way too fast. So I couldn't keep up with what I had settled for myself and, ultimately, all of you. But I have a few updates that are in no way too bad or horrible. 
          
          (Please don't panic, lol)
          
          I will be unpublishing 'Pretentious'. I am not deleting it or discontinuing it. I'm just unpublishing it so I can take more time on it and motivate myself further without as much pressure. I need time with this one. And I need the motivation... which had been lacking.
          
          But,
          
          While I take time off from Pretentious, I will step away from 'x Reader' for a little while and write a very interesting horror themed countryhumans story that I've been starving to continue. And I'm sure you guys will enjoy it too if you are a fan of Japanese horror! 
          
          I wanted to write something that wasn't as "demanding" in a way, and something that could just fill in the void that Pretentious left for... too long. And since I'm excited to write this one, I hope it will at least be a pass time for some of you despite not being x Reader.
          
          Again, I am so sorry. But things sometimes just never go the way we want them to. And I know how disappointing it is. I'm disappointed with myself, to be honest. But again, I am not discontinuing Pretentious! It will come back at full blast!
          
          With that in mind, a famous Japanese urban legend that I absolutely love will be turned into a Countryhumans AU. Hope to see you there!

Hello dear followers! I hope you're all having a good day/night. Today, I will follow two brief announcements.
          
          The first is a big achievement. After such a long time, I have reached 100—currently 104—followers! 
          
          Thank you guys for the support, for following, and being so incredibly patient. You have no idea how much it means to me. This is a big achievement for me, especially because I didn't expect people to enjoy my work when I first began writing. But the kind words, feedback, interactions, and inspiration from so many of you have made me see it in a better light and grow further. I can see this is the start of a big community we are slowly building, and you are all so very welcome here! Thank you all again, I love you all very much! :)
          
          Now, the second announcement is a small heads-up! Please keep this in mind for the next few days:
          
          — The chapters of my book might be briefly unpublished, as I will begin adjusting everything accordingly. Please, don't be alarmed! They will come back at once, when they are ready. So if you revisit my book and suddenly see the chapters missing, that is why :)
          
          — Please, expect many new things after the new general update. You may notice I already updated the book cover and the introduction chapter, but expect changes to the story itself, too.
