Some call me unique, some call me insane, but everyone I know calls me a writer. In fact, from my first short story in elementary school, I knew I was a writer. 

Unfortunately, it took me quite some time make it a reality. In the early 2000s, I began to hone my craft by covering fantasy football for KFFL.com. While there, I tasted my first success, having one of my articles picked up by Yahoo Sports.

While that was fun, I wanted to write Horror. In an attempt to get closer to that genre, I applied and was hired as Senior Writer and Editorial Director for Haunted Times Magazine. While there, I also branched out and had my first real success, having articles published by FATE and Mysteries Magazines, as well as seeing my first book, Searching the Abyss, published.

Fortunately, my Naval career interrupted my work in the non-fiction arena, and allowed me time to work on fiction and poetry and I started to build some of the infrastructure that I use today. I created my blog, The Ringmaster's Realm, and began sharing my work with different publications. While it has taken some time, I have seen a few items picked up, and with it, my confidence has grown. From the dark trip to Hell in The Edward Ballister Project to my latest poetic journey into the world of H.P. Lovecraft for the anthology, Lovecraft After Dark, every moment, and every word makes me strive for more. Once I retired, I decided to go back to school with a desire to polish some of my rough edges as a writer and that is exactly what has happened. 

Soon, I will be graduated after earning a Bachelor of Fine Art's degree in Creative Writing at Full Sail University, and have an even better understanding of my abilities and aspirations in the industry. While I have a long way to go to achieve my goal to write a multimedia/multi-platform horror themed universe, I am always searching for new projects and outlets.
