Hey everyone
I don’t even know where to start, but I’ll start with this: thank you.
For nine years, Wattpad has been more than just a platform to me. It has been home. It has been where I grew, stumbled, learned, and became a writer because of people like you. Every read, every comment, every vote, every message, every silent reader who still showed up chapter after chapter… I saw it, and I carried it with me more than you probably realize.
As of now, I’ve taken my books off Wattpad.
This wasn’t an impulsive decision. It’s something I’ve thought about deeply as I step into a new phase of my life and career. As much as I would love to keep all my stories free and accessible here forever, I also need to build a sustainable writing career from the work I’ve poured my life into.
For my Lagos Men series (Subdued, Entranced, Besotted, and especially Hooked which is still incomplete), I am doing a full, major rewrite. I don’t know when they will be ready for the world again, but I do know this with certainty: they will not be returning to Wattpad in their final form.
I am also moving toward traditional publishing, which means future books will most likely be released under publishing contracts and structured distribution.
But more than anything, I don’t want this to feel like a goodbye.
If anything, I want it to feel like we are simply moving somewhere else together.
To those who reached out when I stopped posting last year, to those who followed me across platforms, to those who supported my self-published books, bought them, recommended them, and kept my stories alive even outside Wattpad… I will never forget you. Truly.
