The Brooch: A short, 1,000 word story about a girl coping with her grandmother's passing. 

The Ship With The Silver Figurehead: The story of a young lady by the name of Amelia Brookson (Or Ameliae Brittany, if she gets formal), the daughter of the Duke of Brittany. Once she discovers that her birth-place isn't Nantes, France, but is in fact England, she journeys over with her maid Adamine and her guard and best friend, Jacques. Bent on finding some lightness in what seemed to be a bleak country, Amelia encounters James, the Duke of Norfolk and --surprise!-- the one she's been (unknowingly) betrothed to. Through a series of mishaps, she befriends the local pirates and has to make the ultimate decision-- go back and get married, or stay in England and leave her family?
