I just spent 2 days force reading an absolute train wreck of a book. I need to sleep for 20 hours to recover from my total disappointment

Don’t you hate that, because sometimes even if you are not feeling the book for whatever reason you can’t stop reading it. There have been some really bad books where the plots sound really interesting but the writing was terrible or they took the plot. It’s totally different and it could’ve been a lot better and I’ve stopped reading them, but some of them you just can’t because you have to know what happens even if you are not like enjoying the book.

Don’t you hate that, because sometimes even if you are not feeling the book for whatever reason you can’t stop reading it. I’m officially 21! Today is my birthday! Crazy times. Also, I’ve started writing on something I dreamed about so maybe a new story could be in the future?! I hope I have the motivation to stick with it once school starts back up.

Sooo...My birthday is coming up on the 26th. I'm turning 21!! It's crazy how fast time has gone. I have no plans because all my friends ditched my birthday party/camping trip. But I guess after you turn 20 birthdays don't matter much anymore. What do you all like to do with your birthdays?

So I'm almost certain my town was hit with a tornado on Friday night. The news/weather service never confirmed one but the damage has been pretty bad. giant cement blocks that had been in the ground were thrown into the air. It was crazy. I was due to go to work in the middle of the storm but my boss told me to wait. I waited until it calmed down but as soon as I got a block from my house the rain and wind picked up again. I probably should have turned around because at some points I couldn't see anything but I went anyway. I work at a movie theater and about 15 minutes after I got there the electricity went out and we closed for the night. It was wild and all the firework stands in town are done. All the tents were destroyed and the product was too.

          What are you currently reading? 
          I’m currently rereading the Shatter Me series. I forgot how much I love it! 
          Give me all the book recommendations. 
          I love romance, and dark romance. I love dystopian and reverse harem books. 
          
          I’ve been in a reading slump for a while now and am just getting back into it. I’ve missed reading and can’t wait to build my summer tbr list! 
          
          Side note-if anyone wanted to start a book club if so be down

Anyone here a Divergent fan? I’ve never read the books but I started watching the movies and am on the last one. I noticed it said part 1 and then googled part 2 only to realize it never got made. Then I went on a deep dive and let me tell you. I’m glad I didn’t commit to reading the books. *spoilers ahead* 
          
          
          I HATE when main characters die. Like literally what is the point. And Especially to find out Caleb was the one who was supposed to die. Like he did so many bad things that sacrifice would have been necessary for his character development. I like happy endings and feel like killing off your character in an attempt to be quirky or unique is just stupid. Tris had nothing to more prove so her death was a waste. She already showed many times that she was willing to die to do the right thing. So killing her anyway added nothing to the story. I am going to forget I read that and create my own little version of the story where Caleb dies and tris and four live happily ever after in a world where they can be themselves.

I read the books and I partially agree with you! I cried my eyes out when Tris died. But if you read the books you would see the change she brings to the world. She did what she had to in order to protect humans and she wanted people to make a proper change. Things changed in a sense for the better after her death. But no one forgot her which is so meaningful! In the second book she struggled a lot with losing her parents and the betrayal of her brother. I honestly think the books were amazing. I read the whole series in like 72 hours because I was so addicted. And you make me want to read them again!  The second and third movie weren’t great compared to the books. But I totally get where you are coming from though! I would be upset if they made the movie and changed the ending because I feel like the book explained her death so well and showed the change that needed to happen.

I officially have a college degree! Today I graduated and it’s the weirdest thing. Time is passing so fast I hardly even notice until something big happens. Life is crazy

You guys. She cried wolf is so so close to half a million reads. Less than 100 reads away from 500K! I never expected to get even one read let alone half a million. This is insane! Thank you to each and everyone who has read my story, your support means so much to me. Much love, OBH ❤️

As much as I love She Cried Wolf, the first book I wrote, I think it's time to move on. I will always love Ashley and Jackson, they are the first characters I ever created, but I've been stuck on that book since 2018. It's long past time to move on. I think the pressure of making it perfect has stopped me from looking at writing any other books. Maybe one day I will revisit them and think about completing the rewrite but for now, I'm saying goodbye. It's time to move on to bigger better things. 
          I would like to thank all of my followers who have supported me through writing SCW, and I am so sorry to the people who have been waiting for the rewrite. It's just not in the cards for now.
