I've cleaned up by unpublishing my old works. They were written by my 14-15 year old self, and a couple by my 16 year old self, I've come a long ways since then and am 21 now. I intend to go through and someday work on some of those old works, but I now have 2 works I am focused on, well, 3 but 2 I am stepping back from temporarily due to stress. I'm working on the 3rd, July Crickets as it's not as stressful for me currently to work on it.

I've published the first chapter of July Crickets, which can be found on this account. I don't know how often updates will be as I've found myself writing longer chapters than I ever have before, but each one will be the highest quality I can offer currently.

I'm working on the second chapter now, here and there throughout the days when I'm not watching Law & Order: SVU.

Expect to potentially see chapter two within the next week or two though.

If anyone is interested, July Crickets is a murder mystery novel, set in the fictional country of Atapor, as close to a safe haven for supernatural beings and magic as there is in the story's world. It follows 2 homicide detectives (a werecat and a human), a werecat, and a witch, and their unraveling of a dark plot woven by the underworld of Atapor and solving the assassination of a diplomat.

Back to writing, have my meds again (yay! Depression can't keep me away anymore) and have something I'm working on in private, when I have more of it complete I'll maybe start uploading it! Already have 27,000 words of it written over the last couple months (we all know that's a feat in and of itself for me these past few years where I've done only maybe a few thousand for any WIP if I'm lucky...sorry, many I want to finish and hopefully will someday) but it's a mishmash of incomplete scenes right now but have spent months working on plot, need to start doing research and keep on building up and solidifying the world.

I'm also working on digital art as well, no complete pieces yet but when I do I'll maybe upload a "book" with previews in it?

@Hacker-Cat might be another few months from now but working on it! I'm so in love with my current project. I actually have 50k words total written of the series overall. Though plot beyond the 3rd book has sorta...halted due to a massive bit of writer's block regarding the plot. But actually writing the first book which I have a pretty solid grasp on is going well. Just trying to get all the scenes that keep popping up and slowly I'll weave them together when I'm done, it's not my usual way of writing, usually I force myself to go from the beginning and I tend to get sloppy and messy and rush myself trying to get to a particular scene that keeps popping in my head and only have a collection of scenes in my head to guide me.

This one I'll have many, many scenes written out and will eventually be able to fill in the gaps and lead ups to them. I sorta keep starting them in the middle of all the action and such. X.X

I know it's been a few weeks I beleive since I uploaded any of the revised edition of Rising but that's because of mental health and being unable to write for the past few months like I want to. I get maybe a paragraph done every few weeks on chapter 10 before my depression closes in around me with its murkiness and exhaustion.

When I can I'll keep writing and working on it and hopefully when things are better in the next few months hopefully, then I can write all I want.

New chapter of Rising now up!

Also, I really recommend Rising for people 18+, perhaps 16 but really meant for people my age (I'm going on 19) or older. It has graphic descriptions of violence and later on will have indepth sex scenes. The original draft is more PG than this version but I was also 15 when I wrote the original. And even that one wasn't really PG, but did fit my age range, kinda, I think, I don't really read it unless I'm editing and revising but my view on what is not very graphic is kinda scewed due to life events and also the stuff I grew up with.

But, yeah, if you're 18+ I hope you enjoy the new version of Rising. About to try to work more on chapter 10 now that I no longer have any technical difficulties.

I feel if you read the original draft, you will enjoy this one even more. The change is clear, and I've taken what I've learned in the past few years of hardly uploading and not uploading and applied it to the story. I've been using the original draft as a skeleton for the current draft, going through chapter by chapter, word by word, scene by scene and deciding what stays and what goes, what to clean up, what to add to, and what I want to add that wasn't there before at all. One example is I added in a small series of scenes after Maverick dies, following Tyler and then Angel as he find her on the brink of death from the cold of winter and starvation. I also rewrote the scene with Maverick where Tyler challenges him and Angel ultimately kills him. It went from her just outright killing him because Tyler lost, to Tyler winning, but Maverick tricking him to lower his guard and breaking pack law, which she unknowingly upholds by killing him.

The entire first 9 chapters I've gone through so far have a lot more detail to them, and a lot more emotion. I also have been playing around with also adding in Angel's thoughts since it's mainly told from her POV and when it is told from Tyler's his are also in there here and there. I'm really liking how its turning out, but I want to know is anyone interested in seeing it for themselves? Please tell me so I can upload it for you!

          Sincerely,
          London Nightengate

I don't upload here anymore, I mainly keep my writing between me and Microsoft Word, but, would anyone be interested in me reuploading Rising and it's currently edited and revised and partially rewritten chapters while I continue working on it? Over the past year, as I've been struggling with mental health, I've covered about the first 9 chapters, adding at least 20,000 words. I've added a lot of new scenes, changed the pacing and showed more of a slower growth to Angel and Tyler's relationships while still maintaining the points already shown and adding some others. I also completely rewrote Angel's first shifting scene, it's a lot more detailed, as it was a very important moment I just passed over. I instead this time took the opportunity to walk the reader through the details, it's very detailed but a profound and once in a lifetime moment for the character that completely changes her outlook on her place and the place of her species in the world.

I have something published now! It was in the literary magazine that my college does, but it's still something! It was a short story 'For James'. Its in LSSU's "Snowdrifts" 10th edition.

@PellinorLover2314 It's a long journey, but you're right to focus on your mental health first. Now, you'll have something awesome to add to your bio when you query.

@Sevannah_Storm thank you! It gives me hope for getting something published on a bigger scale! I just have a lot of mental health stuff to work through and I'm trying to get my own place right now but once I do I'll be working on my mental health and on trying to get something I can submit to publishers or something.
