@PenumbraMine It's shameful that the company can get away with this. It looks like they could be held accountable legally. I'm surprised that YouTube and others allow them on their site.

@stox4story No, it isn't legal, but unless the authors directly report the thieves to each platform as not having permission to use and distribute their content, they get away with it. And the worst part is there are people advocating creating Audiobooks for books that don't have them as a way to make extra money for themselves. It is just another way talentless hacks who can't write or are too lazy to write, steal from struggling Indie Authors.

Attn Friends: the #bookthieves are at it again only this time in #Spanish. The app is Alphanovel.io and there are several books from both Wattpad and Inkitt that are known to be on the platform without the real author's permission. The covers and titles are changed but if you hit the translate button you can still find your book if they took it. Some are harder to find because one book called The Erotic Alpha is literally just stolen chapters from werewolf books on both platforms. Do not buy the app. If You see your book, report it to the App store. Alpha Novel also has a Facebook and Instagram page that I could find. Good Luck, fellow Watties.
