Dr Brian O'Hare. I am currently retired from my old job as assistant director of a large regional college of further and higher education. I'm married, have three children, ten grandchildren, one great grandchild. I play golf three times a week and do a some voluntary work. My early  writing experience was wholly academic.
I had a liver disease since childhood which resulted in my having to take early retirement a number of years ago. In 2002 I had a liver transplant but am strong and healthy now. I continued to do academic writing well into my retirement,but got tired of that and decided to write a memoir about my liver transplant, (A Spiritual Odyssey, published by Columba Press, Dublin, 2005.  Also published on Kindle, December 2013.). A second non-fiction book followed a couple of years later, The Miracle Ship (New Apple Top Medallist winner, 2014 Awards)
I have also written five fiction novels: Fallen Men (a work of contemporary fiction), The Doom Murders (a detective story set in Belfast and the opening novel of the Inspector Sheehan Mysteries Series) and The 11.05 Murders ( second in the Inspector Sheehan Mysteries  Series) and The Coven Murders,  all published by Crimson Cloak Publishing . The fourth, The Dark Web Murders was just published in March 2019 and I am currently writing a fifth in the series, preliminary title:  The Trafficking Murders.

The first three books in the series have all won awards and I am waiting to see if The Dark Web Murders will be lucky too.  
(Added Note:  It has been lucky I have just been informed that this book has won the New Apple Solo Medallist Winner Award for the Mystery category, Summer 2019).

As well as the mystery books, Fallen Men has also won an Amazon IDB award in 2013 and, recently, was awarded the Top Medallist Honours in the Contemporary Fiction Category of The New Apple 2015 Awards for Excellence in Independent Publishing.
