            Taroon looked and watches as she stopped reading to take in what he had just said and soon he couldn't help but check her out a bit just out of curiosity and not to be a perv. 
            
            “Really? You do look like a generic 80’s protagonist,  curly hair…I’m not like every girl and sarcastic along with I don't do well with others or rules.” he guessed or rather clocked about her 
            
            He soon felt her hair and looks as it seemed naturally curly just today it decided to he frizzy “Ever had it straightened?”
            
            “If the 80’s made you their permanent vessel you would not know how to deal with it.” 
            
            “Really? It seems to be my favorite pastime for the moment.”

            Ashlyn slowly looked up from the book she’d been reading, one eyebrow raising as she took in the stranger’s comment. For a moment, there was nothing but silence.
            
            Then she glanced down at herself — worn jeans, an old flannel, boots that had seen better days — before looking back up “wow” she closed the book with a quiet thud, leaning back slightly.
            
            “Okay, first of all? Rude” a small smirk tugged at the corner of her mouth, because honestly, she’d heard worse from Dean before breakfast “second… the eighties were a perfectly acceptable decade. Some of us appreciate the classics.”
            
            She reached up, tugging lightly at a curl that had decided to do whatever it wanted that day “and for your information, this hair has survived demon attacks, vampire nests, and a Winchester family road trip. Pretty sure a little frizz is the least of its problems.”
            
            She tilted her head, studying them with that familiar Winchester mixture of amusement and suspicion “besides, if the eighties really did throw up all over me, I’d say it has pretty good taste.”
            
            She paused, letting the silence sit for just a second before adding “also… you should probably know insulting a Winchester’s hair is a dangerous hobby.”

Ashlyn is intelligent, compassionate, and fiercely loyal, but she struggles with feeling overlooked and replaceable. She has spent her entire life being the person left behind, the person nobody thought to save. Because of this, she developed a habit of sacrificing herself for others while refusing to admit when she needs help.
            
            Unlike her brothers, Ashlyn does not fight because she believes she can win. She fights because she refuses to let anyone else lose.

However, unlike Dean and Sam, John rarely allowed her to join hunts. While he took Dean with him and trained him to become a hunter, Ashlyn was often left behind, forced to watch from the sidelines. John’s intentions came from love — he wanted to spare his daughter from the horrors of hunting — but Ashlyn interpreted it as him believing she wasn’t capable.
            
            Instead of fighting monsters, she studied them. She learned from John’s journals, listened to Dean’s stories, memorized lore, and taught herself the skills she would eventually need to survive. By the time John disappeared, Ashlyn had already spent years preparing for the life she was never supposed to have.
            
            Where Dean was raised as a soldier and Sam escaped to create a normal life, Ashlyn became something in between — a hunter with a scholar’s mind and a Winchester’s stubborn determination.
            
            Her relationship with her brothers is complicated but unbreakable. Dean is her protector, her closest confidant, and the person who understands her anger toward their father better than anyone. Their bond is built on teasing, arguments, and an unspoken promise that neither will ever leave the other behind.
            
            Sam’s relationship with Ashlyn is more complicated. As twins, they were once inseparable, but when Sam left for Stanford, Ashlyn felt abandoned. She stayed behind with Dean and John, carrying the weight of a family that was falling apart. For years she resented Sam for leaving, even though part of her understood that he was only chasing the life they both secretly wanted. Their relationship eventually heals, but the scars remain.
