Raymond Bartholomew always had a passion for learning and understanding the world he was born into. Naturally looking for answers in Math & Science, he studied mechanical engineering in undergraduate college and minored in mathematics. The absolutism of definitive mathematical answers and theoretical equations provided physical solutions, but questions of the soul and what lies behind the unseen human experience, known explanations only told so much. Shortly after the death of his grandfather, an answer to the great question "Why?" was at the forefront of his thoughts. During his collegiate pursuit, a few ancillary classes in English and Philosophy spurred the inspiration to express repressed thoughts in the form of this short novella. Influenced by European writers such as Flaubert, Kafka, Tolstoy as well as the philosophers Socrates, Plato & Aristotle, this accumulation of fictional short stories was written in reflection of life experiences and world travels.
