After almost 3 years, 51k words, and 67 pages, I have finally finished Wilted Petals. Therefore, this brings the Flower duology to a close and marks my second duology complete.
Wilted Petals, without a doubt, has been my most challenging work yet. Writing the thought process of two characters who find their way back to each other 10 years after falling in love too late was a difficult task. Coupled with the fact that I kept on changing things at the last minute and was indecisive of a lot of things, there was a lot of stress, frantic rewrites, progress, and lack of it. But, here I am, having finally finished it.
To those who have supported me throughout the writing of the duology as well as the year and a half long hiatus I took while I worked on it, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Writing the duology was a rewarding challenge and I would be lost without your support. And I promise, with my next work. I won't take another year and a half to work on it. It will be out sooner than you know it! So thank you a million times over.
I'm excited to post the epilogue of Wilted Petals this Sunday! I'm excited to put Manish and Jaya's story to a close, and I hope you guys are too. I will see you on Sunday with the last chapter of Wilted Petals.
Love you guys to the moon and back,
Shree
